MYOCURE results to be presented at ESGCT
MYOCURE partners Dirk Grimm (UKL-HD) and Ana Buj Bello (Généthon) are among the invited speakers at this year’s ESGCT conference which takes place from October 16th-19th in Lausanne Switzerland at the SwissTech Convention Center, in collaboration with the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR), the French Society of Gene and Cell Therapy (SFTCG) and local organizers.
Within the session on vector development Dirk Grimm and Jad El Andari from the University Hospital Heidelberg will share the first ground breaking results generated within MYOCURE in regards to the identification of new muscle-tropic adeno-associated virus (AAV) capsids. These are essential to deliver the therapeutic genes to the deficient cells and to ultimately cure myotubular myopathy (MTM) and glycogen storage disorder (GSD) type II, the overall aim of the project.
Many more MYOCURE partners will be on site to discuss the newest advances in the field. To find out more about the sessions, speakers and overall program, please visit the ESGCT website.
